Regulations on Traditional Chinese Medicine

At the point of early 2012, new regulations on Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine is on the make. After this goes through, it will be much clear which acupuncturist is qualified. However, there is still a problem. They are grandfathering the practitioners who have been practicing already. Of course, they have to go through a lot to be grandfathered as well, however it is much easier than to get lincesed after going through examinations and stuff. Also, it is likely that the govenment will not be strict on cracking down on practitioner who don't hold the license and they probably will only take action if someone tells on them.

Regulations on acupuncture is not ideal

The regulations on acupuncture is not ideal. For example, they are allowing doctors or even dentists to do acupuncture. They are called "medical acupuncture" or something like that and it is NOT based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. They are still allowed to do that though they can't call themselves acupuncturists. So why it is not a good thing? They are doctors and should know more about acupuncture, right?
